What’s Happening in Monmouth County This Month?

 

November 4th: Waterfront Brunch Buffet

Who doesn’t love breakfast? What better way to start the month off than with a wonderful brunch buffet! Head on out to treat yourself or bring the family, maybe even a few friends! This event will be held at Buttonwood Manor on the 4th of November. Make sure you arrive with an empty stomach to make the best of a meal like this. Adult entrees are $27.99 and include all you can eat along with a complimentary mimosa or bloody mary! Children under 12 are $13.99 and include the same. (Minus the bloody mary and mimosa, of course.) Make sure you call for reservations because they’re gonna go fast!

 

November 8th-9th: School’s Out Drop-In Days at the Fort

Are your children often bored on their days off from school? Here’s something fun for them to do this coming month! Take them down to the rec center where they’re sure to enjoy plenty of activities such as Science Exploration Stations, take home kids creations and building fun! These activities are designed for children of the ages 5-10 and they are allowed to switch between the stations as many times as they’d like. The event is self-guided and adults must remain with their children. Admission is $5 per child per day! Don’t miss a chance to make your child’s day off one of the best that it can be.

 

November 14th: Awesome Autumn Amble at Big Brook Park

Are you looking to learn a bit more about your environment this month? Head out to Big Brook Park where you’ll get a chance to explore trails and learn about the plant and animal life that is part of the community. It will be a chance to get out and enjoy the fall air, the scenery and everything else that comes with it just before the winter season hits. We hope that you’ll take advantage of this opportunity. Admission is free and open to all ages, but please make sure that those under the age of 18 are accompanied by an adult.

 

November 18th: Hoofin’ it for SPUR

This month be sure to head out to help SPUR during this 5k run that they are hosting! SPUR is a non-profit organization that helps assist those with disabilities the chance to achieve personal goals through therapeutic horsemanship. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to help out a local organization and to get in some great exercise before Thanksgiving hits!
