Greetings and Happy Valentine’s Day! However (and with whomever) you choose to spend Valentine’s Day, the team at LG Insurance Agency hopes you’ll remind your loved ones how much they mean to you this February and that you have a safe, fun time. Here are some activities we think you’ll enjoy!

Asbury Park Valentine’s Bazaar

Want to get your loved one something unique for Valentine’s Day this year? Come to the Valentine’s Bazaar in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall in Asbury Park this Saturday, February 8. There will be food, drinks, a cozy fireplace lounge to relax and over 30 vendors selling gifts handmade with love. You’ll be able to buy bouquets, sweet treats, jewelry, ceramics, apparel and much more. Skip the mall and get your special someone a unique, handcrafted gift this year!

Wine and Chocolate Lovers’ Weekend

Wine and chocolate are quintessential staples of Valentine’s Day! If you don’t want to commit yourself to buying just one bottle of wine or one brand of chocolate this year, you have the chance to spend this Valentine’s Day sampling different varieties of wine and chocolate with your significant other. On Friday, February 14 or Saturday, February 15, check out the Wine and Chocolate Lovers’ Extravaganza at 4JG’s Orchard and Vineyard in Colts Neck. Share a romantic date and find your new favorite wine or chocolate at the same time!

Asbury Park Vegan Pop-Up Shop

One of the hardest things about having dietary restrictions is finding food that is both within your restrictions and delicious. The Vegan Pop-Up Shop being hosted at the Asbury Park Convention Hall on Sunday, February 16 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. is the place to be if you want to have tons of food options, all made with ingredients you can eat. There will be over 40 food vendors, many of whom are gluten free along with being vegan. Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Come enjoy a day of fun with delicious food, fancy drinks and great people!

School’s Out Drop In Day at the Fort

Monday, February 17 is Presidents Day which hopefully means you have a day off! If you’d like to get your kids out of the house instead of playing video games or watching TV all day, bring them to the Fort Monmouth Recreation Area in Tinton Falls! From 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be open gym time, pickup basketball games, science exploration stations, arts and crafts, and other fun activities for them to participate in. It is open to kids ages 5 to 10 with an accompanying adult, and it costs $5 (cash or check only) per child. Let your kids have fun and meet some new friends on Presidents Day!
