Greetings and Happy Valentine’s Day! However (and with whomever) you choose to spend Valentine’s Day, the team at LG Insurance Agency hopes you’ll remind your loved ones how much they mean to you this February and that you have a safe, fun time. Below are some activities we think you’d enjoy with your kids or someone special.

Valentine’s Dinner Show with the Jersey Four

What better place to enjoy a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons than right here in New Jersey where it all began? The night of Sunday, February 10, The Jersey Four—a talented tribute group comprised entirely of New Jersey natives—will perform renditions of some of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons greatest hits at the iPlay Event Center in Freehold. Tickets start at $50 and include admission to the show, dinner buffet and a guaranteed seat at a table. Enjoy listening and singing along to 60s classics with friends or your special someone!

Disney’s DCappella

Walt Disney said, “I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us.” Except for the timeless stories that speak to the innocence in all of us, the music of Disney movies is what many of us remember the most. If you love Disney, or have kids who love Disney, you’ll adore DCappella, a concert of seven vocalists singing Disney classics a cappella. Come to the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank the night of Tuesday, February 12 and enjoy renditions of your favorite Disney songs in a whole new way!

Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure

Do your kids have an interest in science, prehistoric creatures or undersea life? On Sunday, February 17, enjoy a fun, educational, simulated underwater adventure at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure is an immersive, interactive experience designed for K-6 grade students which uses puppets, technology, imagination and theatre to teach kids about paleontology and marine biology. Tickets start at $25. Come learn about aquatic dinosaurs and the wonder of the vast diversity of earth’s oceanic life! Click here for a preview of the show. School’s Out Drop-In Day at Fort Monmouth Recreation Area

Monday, February 18 is Presidents Day which hopefully means you have a day off! If you’d like to get your kids out of the house instead of playing video games or watching TV all day, bring them to the Fort Monmouth Recreation Area in Tinton Falls! From 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be open gym time, pickup basketball games, science exploration stations, arts and crafts, and other fun activities for them to participate in. The cost is $5 per day per child. Let your kids have fun and meet some new friends on Presidents Day!
