There are only a couple of weeks left until the beginning of summer. Spring brought us a lot of rain this year, which may make some of us feel blue, but the plants love it! If you’d like to come show your support for the local farmers of New Jersey (or are just bored looking at all the same food items at the supermarket) visit one of the several farmers markets in Monmouth County! Most of them are open once a week throughout the summer. Along with fresh fruits and vegetables, farmers markets often offer eggs, meat, cheese, baked goods, pickled and canned goods, jams, flowers, honey and lots of other items.

Click here to find a directory of farmers markets in Monmouth County. Many of the entries include information on when they’re open and links to their websites or Facebook pages. While some aren’t open until July or late June, there are several which open in May or the first week of June. Below is a list of farmers markets in Monmouth County that are open now!
